Frequently Asked Questions

Chain List is a comprehensive directory of EVM-compatible blockchain networks. It allows you to search for networks by name, chain ID, or native currency symbol, test RPC endpoints in real-time, and add networks to your wallet with one click.

Simply search for the network you want, click to expand its details, then click the 'Add to Wallet' button. Make sure your wallet is connected first. The network will be automatically added to MetaMask or any other Web3 wallet.

RPC latency measures how long it takes for the RPC endpoint to respond to a request. Lower latency means faster transactions and better user experience. We test each RPC by sending an eth_blockNumber request and measuring the response time.

Privacy indicators show whether the RPC provider tracks user data. 'No Tracking' means the provider doesn't collect data, 'Limited' means some data collection, 'Tracking' means full data collection, and 'Unknown' means the policy is not specified.

RPCs can fail for various reasons: CORS restrictions (the RPC doesn't allow browser requests), rate limiting, geographic restrictions, or the endpoint being temporarily unavailable. Failed RPCs may still work when used directly in your wallet.
